Gourmet To Go is a personal chef service serving Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, San Benito, Monterey and San Mateo Counties.
A Personal Chef is someone who loves to cook and help families gather around the table for a meal together. Busy, time-starved families need the services of a Personal Chef in order to avoid frozen pizza, fast food joints, or expensive restaurant dining.
A client interview is conducted in your home in which a three-page questionnaire is filled out to help with menu design. We want to have a record of your likes & dislikes, special dietary needs, food allergies, etc. so we can tailor your menu. Once the interview is complete, a personal chef day is scheduled and payment is collected for the first personal chef date. A week before your personal chef date we design your menu based on your specific preferences. Once your customized menu is designed, it is sent to your via e-mail or fax for approval.
On your personal chef day we load up our supplies, purchase the freshest, most wholesome ingredients available and arrive at your home ready to create delicious, healthy meals for you.
At the end of the personal chef day, the food is packaged, tools and equipment loaded and the kitchen left nice and clean with delicious scents wafting through your home. Menu instructions are left for you as well as placed on each container for easy re-heating.
Chef Bourget is a member of the United States Personal Chef Association, The Culinary Alliance of Santa Cruz County and a member of Slow Food Santa Cruz. After creating the first French Cooking Club at her high school, she started preparing gourmet meals. Chef Bourget has studied the culinary arts in the United States and Europe. Gourmet to Go Personal Chef service is a sustainable service. We use the best ingredients available. We select organic or free-range poultry, natural beef (organic upon request), sustainable fish in accordance with the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and organic fruits and vegetables when available from farmer's markets or family owned markets. We recycle all containers, paper products, etc., and make only one trip to the market and your home for 20 meals in my new low emissions vehicle.
